23rd May

Struggled to get on my feet this week, although yesterday was a pretty good day, and I didn't push it.

Chronic Fatigue clinic questionnaires have come through the post. Something like 12 pages in all spread over 2 documents. Some of the questions they ask are on point. Filled one in yesterday, will do the other today.

Was having a good day until late at night, Hazel came upstairs, informed me Ares had eaten something he shouldn't have. A plushie. He's never done it before. And the plush in question has been a favourite for tug for many years. For some reason, he decided to eat it. There was no way he was sicking it up. And likewise, operating on him at his age, in his health.... not good. So. I guess we wait. And see if it passes. If it doesn't... Or maybe Hazel made a mistake and he didn't eat it. But I doubt she's mistaken. I'm just hoping that if he had chewed it or whatever small enough to eat, it should go through. I can't quite believe he's eaten it. Surely he would have choked. Ho hum. We'll stick it on the stack of Things To Worry About.

Interesting article today on the news about GPs feeling let down for being fired for having long covid. Betrayed is the word they use.

Yes. Well. Welcome to the harsh reality of all the GP services being fucking privatised. Guess what. They can do that.

"It feels mercenary".

Yes. It is. Also welcome to the world of patients. Some GPs now have a taste of what it's like to be dealt with by a for profit GP health care system. And they don't like it. They were goddamn happy when they were on the other end of it though. Meh. Live by the sword, die by the sword. For the record I agree it's a deplorable way to be treated. But. Yeah. What goes around comes around my dudes. Perhaps you should have fought harder for a less mercenary GP system *before* it was you under the sword, no ? No. Fuck that. Only care when it bothers you. *thumbs up*.
