Better sleep yesterday, some energy came back, which was surprising and nice.

Don't get me wrong. Operating on low batteries. But above wipe out energy.

Sounds all very CFS to me.

Mmm. I still have enormous difficulty accepting this.

It has been raining a lot in the last 12 hours. And I am not sure if I've got used to the New Normal UK weather of it being hot and a good deal less humid, but the humidity here now feels positively wet. Everything feels very slightly damp. Was it always like this and as a swamp dwelling Brit I had got used to this ? Or has the previously hot dry weather made everything suck up moisture. Or what ? Whatever it is, the hot dry summer has definitely shaken up the UK weather. I can't say I am enjoying the feeling of everything being slightly damp and I am slightly pining for the hot dry conditions. Typical.

On possibly the related subject of that, my allergies have gone through the roof. Itchy palate. Constant sneezing. Bagpipes for a chest. Yikes. Something is in the air that's really setting me off. Can't be pollen ? Something with the damp no doubt.

Yesterday was one of those days. A lot of technical things went wrong at once, and I went from a broken remote control all the way through to debugging a gnarly technical issue on the home server.

After several hours I gave up. And let the server slowly oh so slowly update itself. It has been a problem for a while - some aspects of it have been broken for months - a super shitty MS update that despite all my in depth fiddling with, could not fix. It really was just bone deep ( I have a replacement on standby that, given my varying energy levels, has sat 95% complete for six months ).

This morning the server - after several months of being broken - has fixed itself. A miracle. Ish. It applied a patch to itself. Which has clearly unfucked its previously fucked state. Good old MS. Their QA of late continues to be at a level you'd expect from someone selling knock off electronics from the back of a lorry.

Still. The server is fixed. Which meant one by one all the previous days issues resolved themselves. I could access the server. I could find this. Which meant I could log on here. Which meant I could do X. And finally. Just order a new fucking remote control. Jesus.

Funny how technical issues can pile up.

It also occurred to me that my guardian angel had jimmied the dice overnight to fix the server.

Busy heavy day at work yesterday. Both days were busy. Yeesh. Went for a walk with Hazel after work. I ended up just lying down in a field - as you do - and staring at the blue sky. Well. As much as you can when you have two mutts who absolutely must be as close to you as possible. Particularly Hazels dog, Poppy. She really does love me a lot. Super clingy. I like to think this is because I speak pretty good dog. And I'm never mean. Not even in fun. No teasing. I suspect mutts appreciate it. Maybe I just stink in a "good" way however.

Feeling a bit emotionally exhausted at the moment. A little too much deep delving into people I think. Need some switch off time.
