An improvement to well being. Ish. Mostly in the nausea department. It has subsided to very mild seasick at times, and at others, ok. Which has meant I am feeling generally better.
On the other hand. The asthma has been doing a number on me. Really bad lungs overnight. Wanes during the day. Comes on again as the evening draws on. This is combined with a bunch of meh kinda allergic issues. I think the weather is probably having an effect, it has been pretty wet of late. I'm also super tired. And flake out pretty quickly.
I think I need a thoroughly good clean of the house, get rid of any dust, clean everything. See if that helps.
The CBD experiment continues, and I have been lapsing in dosing myself with it. I can't say I am noticing much difference, albeit, when I properly dose myself at night, I seem to feel better the following day. I'm also taking the inulin at this time too, which, it's either a coincidence my gastro has improved, or, the inulin is actually helping.
As my feelings of illness drop back below a tipping point, I find myself ever more eager to Do Shit. Creative things. Fix stuff. Be busy. I am being disciplined about it and suppressing it, but, it's tricky. Let's goooooooo. Uh huh.
No news or contact from the dietician the GP was supposed to setup. I can't say I am bothered. In principle, it perfectly illustrates their lackadaisical, cant be arsed, no service at all shit fuckery. And is awful. On the other hand, their suggestion is bullshit anyway. So. That they failed to even live up to their bullshit. Eh.
Useless fucking twats.
Today I've been goofing around trying to install a beta of the charity software into their org. I was under no illusion this would not be plain sailing, as there is no clue within the org about their IT infrastructure, networking, security or anything. Tricky. Today we found out half the office is running ipv6, the other half is running ipv4 behind a NAT. So some computers are visible to the internet. Some aren't. Good luck on getting any of them talking to any other on the LAN. That makes sense they said. We've always had enormous difficulty being able to share documents, or get outlook to sync.
Uh huh.
For the first time in my IT career I might be faced with making a dual networking, ipv4 and ipv6 simultaneously architecture. New. And. Not exactly exciting. It gives me a frowny face. In fact, by and large, to date, I have used ipv4 in everything. Perhaps it's time to kick over to ipv6 in everything... but then you face the delicious prospect of having to cater to non ipv6 stuff. Ho hum.
For the moment the install is on hold. Going to have another go probably on Monday. And see how we do. I'm hoping to get this done on Monday, and then we can start undertaking the very long task of continually adding features to it and tinkering. Which I feel will probably take at least a year. Maybe six months. With an ongoing support for many years before it settles. Long term.
As my health has popped up, I am also considering once again going down to Oxford for a few days to be hands on in the office and sort all their shit out. If it was a paying gig, and assuming my health holds, and I could get someone to look after Athena, I'd do it. It's not a paying gig. Which. Doesn't mean oh, I don't do it unless paid. But. Forking out for a hotel room for a few nights, the drive et al, in these money hitting times, on my budget where I am barely break even is not... great. I would be bleeding money substantially, and giving my time and expertise away for free. Which. I am kinda ok doing. But. Uh huh. I am not a bottomless pit of funds.
Eh well. We shall see.
