Jumpy. That physiological anxiety is still with me. My system is still switched into super alert fight or flight mode. Permanently. It is. Better than it was. It's still pretty bad. I am doing my best with it. At times I find myself just lying there and all my muscles are clenched. Let go. Relax. 30 minutes later. They are clenched again.

Dizzy, fog headed and hearing is off again today. It is, I think, a combination of the mental meds and the blood pressure. I think it's still high. I'm not checking it today. And today. I was again subtly slower, more sluggish. Half hydration. I have done a little more background reading on it. It's a thing. It can also be impacted by "deconditioning". Where if you're doing nothing all day. Then your system slumps into some sub level optimisation. But. To be clear. It's at best a tertiary impacter. Not the primary one. The primary one is fucky autonomic issues.

I'll see if I can get the doc to work with me on this next week. I'll attempt it anyway. I won't expect much. I might even make a clean slate appeal again. Please. I am desperate for help. Can you please work with me in figuring out the best way - if there is one - to cope with the issues I have. Probably pointless. But I think I'll give it a go. Regular support would be ideal. I think to be honest I need to be having a doctors appointment every month minimum. To see where we are. But eh. By todays standards. That's ridiculously resource intensive. So. Ho hum.

Today I am struggling to keep the mental clown car pointing in the right direction. It is slippery. I can feel it wanting to escape out into nutcasery. It is no doubt heavily influenced by the panic chemicals floating around my bloodstream. You cannot sit. You cannot do anything either. You vibrate. In a space between. Trying not to think of anything that will spiral. It's like some masterclass in zen whilst having broken glass thrown at you.

Breathe.

Trouble is afoot in AI space. Software tech stocks are tumbling with the latest release of one of the big AI companies. It is becoming very clear that "coding supremacy" is now in the hands of the AI. In short. The AIs are better at it than the humans. The whole IT sector looks posed to be rocked to its core. But. This is the tip of the iceberg. This week a big physics/astrophysics convention was held, and the big, major, elephant in the room was AI. 90% of all research work et al was now AI capable. It was causing existential questions of what's left for us ( the humans ). This. Paradigm breaking ripple. Is the start. Every knowledge based industry is going to be consumed by the AIs.

The way to think of this, is if the industrial revolution was the beginning of the domination of labour by machine. It moved from a human endeavour. To a machine one. Factories. Instead of craftsmen. And over time basically all creation at scale was then manufacturing itself a term for the machines. Then. We have reached a point of sophistication now where the thinking bit is also about to be consumed by the machines. Thinking. Planning. Intelligence. Is no longer a human only domain. And more than that. It's not even a shared domain. It's a domain where we are inferior to the machine. In the same way that a factory can produce a bazillion times more things than a person can.

You are looking at the second industrial revolution. But this one cuts deeper and harder. Because it is recursive. And it's occurring in a space that is exponentially more developed than societies back at the dawn of the industrial revolution.

How this pans out. I don't know. But we are starting to feel the effects. Proper. Effects. Job hiring is down. Stocks are beginning to fall - adjusting to the awareness that oh, we don't need that shit anymore. The machines are going to do it. And this will then have an effect on economies. Wealth distribution. Society itself. What it means to be in a society. This. Is the beginning.

Of course.

It could all shut down tomorrow. The money could back out. Plugs pulled. But even if that happens. There is no shutting of pandoras box. Even if all the big AI companies went bankrupt tomorrow. The knowledge of how to do this is out there. The practicalities of what you can do with it right now are out there.

Deepseek - the Chinese based AI efforts - this week freely released their latest impressive LLM. Free. For you to reverse engineer yourself. Putting this knowledge firmly into the public. If you're being optimistic, then this is an amazing contribution to the general knowledge base of humanity. If you're being cynical then this is a way to undermine intellectual rights and monopolisation of greedy US corps, by effectively giving you their homework for free, courtesy of the Chinese Government. What better way to undermine your capitalist opponents - give away for free what they want to charge for.

The upshot of all of that is that pandora's box is firmly shoved open. There is no going back. Even if you were to legistlate. Make AI illegal. Making things illegal does not prevent them from happening. It just forces them out of the light.

The last few weeks have also seen the sudden rise in all encompassing AI. Systems where AI is given full rights, over operating systems, files, accounts, everything. And tasked with things. This is full permissions AI environments. It is wildly dangerous. And powerful. Also at the same time, a new service has started - hire a human. A hub for AIs to hire a human to do a task for them. No joke. ( RentAHuman.ai if you want to know ). Forget whether AI's have a free will, motives, etc ( they don't ), forget even if they are intelligent or not ( they are ). Just imagining a "smart" automation system that has access to all this - the number of things you can do, or harm you can do, is wild.

Governments, law, watchdogs, everything. Is acting far far too slowly to the progress of AI. They simply can't react that fast. Such organisations are slow, methodical, taking years to understand, years to decide, years to put into practice. AI is moving on a weeks kind of schedule.

On this trajectory. There is going to be blood on the floor. Simply because no one is prepared for it. And when there is no preparation. People panic. And shit gets ugly.
